Neuroimmunometabolism - obesity at the crossroads between neuroimmunity and immunometabolism
OCTOBER 07 – 10, 2022 | | BEAVER RUN RESORT, COLORADO, UNITED STATES
Joint Meeting with Interconnection between the Gut, Brain and Microbiome for Metabolic Disease
Organizers: Ana Domingos and Alan Saltiel
The reciprocal regulation of peripheral neurons and immune cells is emerging as a new aspect in immune and metabolic homeostasis. Our sessions span from brain-autonomic pathways regulating immunity to immune regulation of autonomic nerves to sympathetic neuropathy and immune-incompetency induced by obesity. Sessions cover basic research as well as translational opportunities. This Keystone Symposia conference aims to bring together researchers from the fields of neuroimmunity and immunometabolism to foster interdisciplinary collaborations that may lead to discovering new cellular and molecular targets for obesity, diabetes or other inflammatory conditions. New scientific knowledge awaits at the intersection between the fields of neuroimmunity and immunometabolism.
